With Wolfspeed’s SpeedVal Kit you can quickly evaluate and optimize the high-speed dynamic switching performance of Wolfspeed Silicon Carbide MOSFETs paired with your choice of a range of gate driver options from our industry-leading partners. The platform can also be used for performing high-power thermal testing to evaluate operation at real operating points. Additionally, to complement the hardware testing, an accurate modular spice model has been developed for each block in the system to allow engineers to compare test data with simulation and build upon the simulation file to model their own system.
SpeedVal Kit’s unique card-edge connection to the power daughter card enables users to change Silicon Carbide devices in seconds while maintaining a low-inductance connection to the DC bus, meaning testing that once took weeks can now be completed in minutes. The power daughter card approach allows the same platform to be used for evaluating Silicon Carbide devices in a range of packages from surface mount TOLL devices up through TO-247 packages.
The SpeedVal Kit platform enables testing Silicon Carbide devices, gate drivers, and controls at real operating conditions, allowing you to make the transition to your own design with confidence. This evaluation platform supports a range of voltages, package types, and power topologies to support almost any application.
